Hello 2012, Goodbye 2011

So... I intended to write a letter to 2011...listing all the good and bad of the year, but I never found the right moment to sit down and do it.  The year was full of moments, happy, sad, joyful, painful, celebratory and mournful.  There were complicated relationships that found resolutions, there were new friendships made, and goodbyes to old ones.  And changes...yes, once again there were many changes this past year.  But one important thing stayed the same...my family, my kids and my husband.  We lived the year to the fullest we know.  We look forward again to another wonderful year together.  Who knows what 2012 will bring!?  No matter what, I do know what will stay the same...my love for this extraordinary life of mine! Trying to capture one final moment, results in some silliness! My little Boyen bunch!  Happy New Year friends...here's to a fabulous 2012!! The Boyen Bunch

Twas the week before Christmas...

and boy was it busy!  We filled the week with crafts, shopping and doctors appointments! Doctors visited, included for Lorelei, were the GI and sleep specialist. Lorelei's doing well!  At the GI we discovered...She'd gained 4 pounds since her last visit in March, weighing in at 35.6 pounds and 41 inches.  She's in the 25 percentile for both.  Not bad for a baby who never made her way onto the charts at all till last September!  She'll remain on both her meds, one for reflux and one an appetite stimulant. Our sleep specialist was happy we'd had some overall improvement in sleep, especially the going to sleep part.  Now we will continue the work on the staying asleep part.  One of the culprits interfering in her deep sleep is a low ferritin level.  This is the amount of iron stored in your blood.  Her's is incredibly low.  So...we start a new regimen of iron, calcium and Vitamin C with repeat labs in March.  If levels remain low he will refer her to a hemato

I-phone 4s and Instagram love...

I have 2 new loves in my life that are going to help with all the other little loves in my life (my kids and hubby of course!).  A few weeks back, my EVO's USB port became loose and would no longer allow connection for charging or downloading.  Well, we tried several remedies, but eventually John admitted I needed a new phone (plus it gave him an excuse to get a new one too!).  Long story short he got me the I-Phone 4s and himself, the Galaxy 2.  I am in love with the I-phone and now have access to some things I've been dying to get into...like Instagram.  What a wonderful way to photo document our life.  We all know I have photo addiction/posting anyway!!  I love taking a quick shot and posting to FB or here... I love how I can turn simple pictures into works of art. So here's a look at my Instagram shots from the week...

This moment...

I have to comment even if I am not suppose to. (Just a single photo, no comment to capture a moment from this week I want to savor). Jonas enjoying (or not) his brothers orchestra concert! What a week!
