This moment...

( www.soulemama.com ) {this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. I know there's suppose to be a single photo...no words, to capture a moment from the week...but look at these two goofy bucket heads!! It's been that kind of Friday night. Plus, they had popcorn and icees from Target for dinner!!! Published with Blogger-droid v1.4.9

Saturday=lazy day...

Love pictures from behind...Jonas and Lorelei playing on the hill. Bailey on the riding mower! You might be a redneck if....you give your daddy a ride on a wagon being pulled by a riding mower! White Chicken chili! BFF's reunite!  Friends for 2 years...separated due to changing schools, reunited for the first time since school starting, for a sleepover! Rain clouds during a drought, yet still nothing! :( Well....today should be filled with painting, house cleaning and laundry. Bailey's first try on the riding mower! And some fun outdoor time! ~watched rain clouds roll in...such a tease, only a drizzle. ~enjoying listening to my kiddos playing and giggling upstairs, while John is snoring downstairs during his afternoon nap. Saturday is definitely my

Supermom addendum...

I thought about this a bit and should have added it to the last post.  A BIG clarification on the "supermom" status.  In my eyes a supermom is far from perfect...it's not about perfection, as much as it is about the effort put behind every action we take as mothers.  In all of the activities of the day I must clarify this... 1.  I made mistakes.  But I don't dwell on them and beat myself up...I learn from them and go with the flow. 2.  I yelled at my children.  Not a mean yell...I'm just loud.  I blame it on years in theater and being a classroom teacher. 3.  I cursed.  Yes...at home, not at school.  It really does relieve stress.  I'm not saying it is right...it is a bad example, a moment of being a terrible role model.  But I am human (so maybe not such a supermom after all?) 4. I lost my patience, at least once (OK, probably more than once). 5.  It's not all rose colored glasses over here.  My kids fight, don't listen, make messes, dance

Supermom...

Supermom... So I have a YOUNG co-worker (OK, she's young to me...ten years younger, single, childless).  She is a delightful, optimistic young lady.  A fellow first grade teacher.  I love her!  She has some fabulous moms that volunteer and do it ALL!  She is constantly bragging about them...it's just terrific that she already notices how much these women do everyday!!  So...Amber this post is for you! I think I must have met my "supermom" status today.  Here's the breakdown: 5:15 a.m.: Alarm goes off. About 5 hours of sleep.  Had to wait up for the last load of laundry so Savannah could have an outfit that she wore yesterday, clean and fresh to wear again today.  Only then to remember it was Freedom week at school and she really needed to wear red, white and blue. 6:00 a.m.: Bathed, dressed (in red, white and blue) and ready to pack the lunches.  Been participating in "The Lunchbox Challenge" a la   http://thehappiestmom.com/ .  Five lovely lun
