Makeover March!

March was really productive. I set goals to re-do two rooms and we actually did it! I couldn't be happier with the results. I left off my last post with these two finishing up Lorelei's most anticipated loft bed! She's been waiting patiently for John to finish it. He said, it may look like a simple piece of furniture to make, but it was by far one of his most challenging pieces. She truly loves it. First night...still a work in progress in the room. She spent most of spring break getting it organized and decorated. She is just thrilled with how cute it turned out! I love her doll corner with matching loft bed. All her little girl dreams came true.      A trip to IKEA the Sunday of spring break helped us get ready to tackle the next room...our new reading/game room. Fabulous February...

February flew by, but was full of festivities. (How's that for alliteration!) Birthdays. That's what kept us entertained during the end of January and February. My birthday, my dad's and my mom's, are all within about 20 days of each other. Throw in Valentine's in between.We celebrated a variety of ways...but all involved food, of course!  My birthday morning I was greeted by our family tradition of breakfast and gifts. We had dinner at our favorite sushi restaurant that night. Lorelei and John baked me a yummy lemon bundt cake! Since my birthday was in the middle of the week, we girls celebrated at my new favorite local spot, The Rustic.
