Talent, time and 43.

Talent...lots of people have it, but only a few share it like they should.  I'm always amazed how performing doesn't even phase Bailey.  His willingness to share his talent and love of music with others, comes with great ease.  He and a few fellow O'Connor orchestra friends enter the local classical station's Young Talent competition.  This was Bailey second year in it, but his friend's first. They were selected as one of the top 3 groups to perform at the final show.  They were profession and refined beyond their years.  They took second place, but won first place in our hearts.   It was really a lovely afternoon. Funny enough, Carson's Talent show was also this same week.  This has grown to be quite the event at our school.  I think everyone is really beginning to love it!  Jonas and some friends were in some skits. Happiness+Adventure=2016

My new equation for the year... happiness+adventure=2016 I've been using a word of the year for myself and the family for a few years now.  Last year's word was "Think", to direct one's mind toward someone or something... think of others, think about our actions, think positively, think and achieve .  Previous year's were Peace and Believe was my first word of the year.  Unfortunately, I didn't blog or write about those, as I wish I would have.  Last year I did at least post on Instagram .  I wanted to start documenting these word choices, but this year I didn't just want one word.  Facebook caught on to the Word of the Year and posted one of those games where based on your profile, it would select your word of the year.  I gave it a try and loved the choice it made for me...Happiness.  A few days later I saw a wonderful older post  making the rounds again, from a Red Table talk with Jada Pickett Smith about being a wife and motherhood.
