September is a reliable month. Steadfast you could say...unwavering and unlikely to change. It's always about adjusting to new school schedules, routines, and early mornings. It's invigorating and exhausting all at the same time. There's a certain satisfaction with wrapping up summer and an air of excitement that fall is just around the corner. Days are still hot, but you just know that cooler weather is on the way. It feels like the year will suddenly slow down a bit. Savannah came home for Labor day weekend. We've actually seen her a lot since she moved to Austin. Just about every other weekend. It's nice that she gets her time at school but can so easily head home when she wants. That of course means a nice opportunity for a family dinner at Nana's and Papa's house. She bought a new chair for her apartment. She had to test it out here first. Somedays I feel like I've done it all. To look at me, you might say "now that's an ordinary mom". Dig a little deeper and you'll find I've led a pretty interesting life, done some pretty extraordinary things, especially once I became a mother of four wonderful, extremely different children! Unique personalities and needs, all wonderful, trying and glorious at the same time!
