It's not pretty or decorative, but it is a bucket list of all the things Jonas and Lorelei (mostly Jonas) wanted to do this summer. So far we've only checked off 4 out of 12 items from the summer bucket list. Yesterday the pediatrician asked him if we had done anything fun this summer and he replied "No." Making a dreamy list of ideas is hopeful and fun, but the reality of July is a little bit different than our inspirational ideas from June. A lot of our plans required extra fun money to go do. Unfortunately our summer started with replacing our entire a/c system, which with our size home meant four separate units. Let's just say it ate up all our fun money. Now being on a budget is no excuse for not having summer fun, it just means looking for cheaper and free things to do. Somedays I feel like I've done it all. To look at me, you might say "now that's an ordinary mom". Dig a little deeper and you'll find I've led a pretty interesting life, done some pretty extraordinary things, especially once I became a mother of four wonderful, extremely different children! Unique personalities and needs, all wonderful, trying and glorious at the same time!
