Back to school really starts in early August for a teacher. There's team planning, training, leadership institute and more. Some of us eager beavers can't wait to get started on our rooms, too. A lot of my August training and meetings took place from my "virtual home classroom". But I can't tell you how happy I am to be back in my real classroom, in our brand new school. My new team met and planned in my happy place...the pool! Made it at least sort of feel like summer still. One of my first trainings from home...a webinar on teaching writing. Our first day back...I took a moment with my coffee before heading out to face the challenges of a teacher starting the 2020 school year. It really has been kind of great. Somedays I feel like I've done it all. To look at me, you might say "now that's an ordinary mom". Dig a little deeper and you'll find I've led a pretty interesting life, done some pretty extraordinary things, especially once I became a mother of four wonderful, extremely different children! Unique personalities and needs, all wonderful, trying and glorious at the same time!
